If you plan to attend Tel Aviv Pride in June, your accommodation options just improved with the reopening of The Drisco following an extensive renovation. The hotel, redesigned by architect-designer Ari Shaltiel at a cost of $35 million, has begun accepting reservations for June. Originally built in 1866 in an elegant Ottoman style, The Drisco has been carefully updated with contemporary interiors that honor the building’s historic character. The property now operates as part of the Leading Hotels of the World collection.
Situated in south Tel Aviv, The Drisco places guests within easy reach of the city’s beaches, the charming Neve Tzedek neighborhood, the Jaffa flea market and Rothschild Boulevard. Its location provides convenient access to a lively mix of clubs, cafés, art galleries and boutiques, making it an excellent base for visitors who want to explore both the seaside and the cultural hotspots of central Tel Aviv.
Guestrooms and suites are distributed across two connected buildings and combine modern comforts with design details that reference the hotel’s Ottoman origins. On-site amenities include a rooftop bar with views over the city, a private garden for quieter moments, and a contemporary gym. Dining is overseen by chef Shahar Bitton, who leads the culinary program at Zada restaurant and the hotel’s lounge bar. The menu offers a creative reinterpretation of historic Ottoman dishes, updated with modern techniques and local ingredients to reflect the flavors once enjoyed by the Sultans of Turkey.
