A new campaign from the Croatian National Tourist Board invites travelers to slow down and discover the calmer side of Croatia. Titled “Find Your Pomalo,” the initiative encourages visitors to savor moments, immerse themselves in local life and embrace a gentler pace of travel.
“We are noticing a growing interest in local customs and peaceful lifestyles, along with authentic experiences. The slow travel trend is becoming more popular,” said Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board. “Guests want to experience the culture of the places they visit, connect with unspoiled landscapes and quiet their thoughts.”

“With this campaign we invite tourists to come, enjoy and truly indulge in a vacation. We believe many visitors will discover their own version of ‘pomalo’ and return home refreshed, rested and full of memories — which is the essence of quality travel and a break from daily routines.”
If you’re considering where to unwind, here are five spots that capture Croatia’s relaxed spirit:

Biokovo Skywalk
Perched above the Makarska Riviera, the glass-floored Biokovo Skywalk offers dramatic sea- and island-facing panoramas. On clear days you can see the islands of Brač and Hvar, and even the Italian coastline, providing a memorable backdrop for slow, thoughtful moments.
Vidova Gora
Vidova Gora on the island of Brač is the highest peak in the Adriatic islands and provides sweeping views, including the famous Zlatni Rat beach below. Nearby trails invite contemplative hikes and long walks through nature, away from the rush of everyday life.
