DFW Now Flies Nonstop to 200 Destinations — What’s New for Travelers

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport has reached an important milestone in its effort to expand global connections.

With the addition of new American Eagle routes to Hermosillo (HMO) and Zacatecas (ZCL), Mexico beginning in June, DFW will provide 200 non-stop destinations across the United States and around the world.

This places DFW among a small group of international airports that have reached a similar level of non-stop connectivity, alongside hubs such as Frankfurt (FRA), Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Hartsfield‑Jackson Atlanta (ATL), Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Munich (MUC).

“Even with this tremendous achievement of 200 destinations, our airport still has plenty of room to grow and add more capacity,” said Jeff Fegan, CEO of DFW Airport. “We are optimistic DFW can continue to attract more air service in the coming months and years, particularly new international service, as we build on our mission to connect the Dallas–Fort Worth area to the world.”

The milestone reflects targeted route development and growing demand from both business and leisure travelers. By increasing non-stop options, DFW enhances convenience for passengers, shortens travel time, and strengthens the region’s ties to international markets.

Airport officials emphasize that this achievement does not mark a limit but rather a foundation for further expansion. Continued collaboration with airlines, local stakeholders and economic partners aims to secure additional routes, especially to underserved international destinations. Improved connectivity supports tourism, trade and investment by making the region more accessible to global travelers and commerce.

Beyond route counts, DFW invests in infrastructure and passenger experience to support growing traffic. Enhancements to terminal facilities, ground transportation links and services are intended to ensure smooth connections and efficient operations as the airport adds capacity.

The launch of service to Hermosillo and Zacatecas also underscores the importance of regional international markets. These routes strengthen ties with Mexican business centers and communities, offering direct travel options that benefit cross‑border commerce and family connections.

As airlines evaluate future schedules, DFW’s growing roster of non-stop destinations positions the airport competitively when attracting new service. The airport’s strategic location, extensive facilities and commitment to expansion make it an appealing base for carriers seeking to connect North Texas with the rest of the world.

Passengers can expect continued announcements as DFW pursues additional routes and frequency increases. The airport’s leadership remains focused on balancing growth with high standards of service, safety and efficiency to support travelers and the regional economy.
