Delta Air Lines Partners with Union Square Café for Exclusive Travel Perks

Delta Air Lines now offers Delta One passengers on select trans-Atlantic routes to Europe new menus developed by the culinary team at New York’s Union Square Café. The seasonal menu features Italian-inspired dishes such as beef short rib stracotto, roasted chicken breast, Gulf shrimp with polenta, and baked paccheri in a basil cream sauce. These selections are complemented by Delta’s 2016 wine program curated by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson.

“This is an exciting time for Delta as we continue to change the conversation around airplane food. Our partnership with Union Square Café aligns with our strategy to offer fresh, local and seasonal food to our customers. Through this collaboration, customers can enjoy ingredients that were picked from the farm that morning and served on their tray table that night,” said Allison Ausband, senior vice president of in-flight service at Delta.

The collaboration builds on Delta’s ongoing relationship with Union Square Hospitality Group. Earlier in the season, Delta introduced winter menus from the group’s Marta, available through February.

Delta One’s updated dining aims to bring restaurant-quality meals to long-haul travelers by focusing on thoughtful sourcing, seasonality and careful pairing with wines. Passengers flying in Delta One on participating European routes can expect elevated plating, attentive presentation and a menu that rotates to reflect seasonal availability. The effort is part of a broader trend among carriers to enhance the premium cabin experience with chef partnerships and specialized beverage programs.

Beyond the main course offerings, Delta One service typically includes refined starters, fresh salads, artisan breads, and indulgent desserts designed to complement the primary dishes and wine selections. The airline emphasizes consistency across flights while allowing for menu variation based on route and season, ensuring passengers receive high-quality meals even on overnight crossings.

Delta’s partnership with respected hospitality brands reinforces the carrier’s aim to distinguish its inflight experience through curated culinary collaborations. By tapping chefs and teams known for their focus on local ingredients and seasonal menus, the airline seeks to deliver a dining experience that reflects current restaurant standards while remaining practical for airline service and logistics.

Passengers interested in these menus should check Delta’s route and service announcements for details on which trans-Atlantic flights include the Union Square Café offerings, as availability may vary by season and aircraft.
