Club Med is continuing a major expansion, planning 17 new resorts and completing 13 renovations or extensions of existing properties by 2024. Founded in 1950, the brand remains true to its founding promise: everything included. With a diverse portfolio of destinations and activities, Club Med aims to serve families, couples and groups seeking hassle-free, all-inclusive vacations.

Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Club Med kept up its growth in 2021, opening four resorts: Club Med Seychelles in Africa, Club Med Lijiang in China, Club Med Québec in Canada and Club Med La Rosière in the French Alps. These openings reinforced the brand’s global reach and its focus on varied experiences, from beach escapes to mountain retreats.
On the horizon are additional openings and expansions across several regions. New projects include Club Med Albion in Mauritius, Club Med Peisey-Vallandry in the French Alps, Club Med Pragelato Sestriere in the Italian Alps and Club Med Marrakech in Morocco. Notably, Club Med plans to open Club Med Utah in December 2024, marking the company’s first new U.S. resort in more than two decades and a significant step for its mountain resort portfolio.

Club Med Utah will be located at Snowbasin, roughly 35 miles from Salt Lake City. Snowbasin is among North America’s longest-established and most accessible ski areas. The new 320-room, four-season resort will blend American comfort with Club Med’s signature French hospitality and programming, catering to families, couples and business groups seeking meetings and events options.
The resort’s all-inclusive offering covers seasonal highlights for both winter and summer stays. During ski season, guests can enjoy group ski and snowboard lessons, ski-in/ski-out access, lift tickets and a heated pool, along with dining across the resort’s restaurants and lounges. In warmer months, the surrounding 3,000+ acres open up for guided hiking, mountain biking and a variety of Club Med’s active entertainment options, including its well-known circus-style activities.
Club Med’s expansion underscores a broader strategy to diversify its footprint while maintaining the convenience and value of an all-inclusive stay. By investing in new resorts and refurbishing established properties, the brand aims to attract travelers looking for curated experiences without the hassle of planning every detail.
