Luxury Santorini hospitality brand Canaves Collection has introduced Harvest & Heritage, a new immersive program for the 2026 season that brings guests closer to the island’s artisans, food traditions and cultural landscape. Designed to provide authentic, hands-on encounters, the program pairs visitors with local experts and family-run businesses for a deeper understanding of Santorini’s heritage.
The Harvest & Heritage experiences include a variety of guided activities that combine history, craftsmanship and culinary tradition:
Archaeological and Culinary Tour
Led by native Santorinian Eugenia Liodaki, this guided tour visits some of the island’s most significant archaeological and historical sites while also making curated stops to sample regional specialties. The route highlights local food traditions connected to Santorini’s landscape and history.

Hands-on Clay Workshops
At a working ceramics studio, guests participate in a pottery session led by fourth-generation potter Andreas Makaris. The workshop focuses on fundamental techniques and allows participants to work directly with clay. Sessions are conducted in Greek with translation provided, preserving the studio’s authentic atmosphere while ensuring accessibility.
Field-to-Table Cooking Class
Hosted at Aroma Avlis within the Artemis Karamolegos Winery, this cooking class invites guests to prepare traditional Greek dishes using ingredients sourced from the estate and neighboring farms. The experience highlights seasonal produce and local culinary methods, offering practical skills alongside cultural context.
Private Photography Session
Photographers from the family-run Kapetanakis Studios lead private photography sessions tailored to individual interests. These bespoke outings explore lesser-known locations around the island, with scheduling optimized to capture ideal light and help guests improve composition and technique.

Sea-to-Table Culinary Journey
Guided by local seafarer Konstantinos “Kostas” Papalexopoulos, guests take a coastal excursion across the Aegean to Armeni Restaurant, a long-established Santorini eatery. Visitors observe fishermen delivering the day’s catch, choose a fish, and then watch as restaurant chefs prepare the selected seafood using traditional techniques.
Harvest & Heritage is offered across Canaves Collection’s four Santorini properties—Canaves Ena, Canaves Oia Suites, Canaves Sunday and Canaves Epitome—allowing guests at each property to access the program’s curated experiences. The initiative emphasizes hands-on learning, local partnerships and respectful engagement with Santorini’s cultural and culinary heritage.
