Cabot Citrus Farms: Florida’s Newest Luxury Resort Destination

Cabot Citrus Farms, located on Florida’s Nature Coast, has officially opened its doors. Set across 1,200 acres of rolling hills, moss-draped oaks and sand pines, this marks Cabot’s first U.S. destination. The property combines championship golf with luxury accommodations, curated experiences and a wide array of outdoor activities.

Guests can choose from nightly rentals in two- and four-bedroom cottages that blend indoor comfort with outdoor living. Each cottage features a fully appointed kitchen and ensuite bathrooms for every bedroom, providing a calm, refined retreat after a day of recreation.

Conveniently located about 50 minutes from Tampa and roughly 80 minutes from Orlando, Cabot Citrus Farms delivers a relaxed Southern atmosphere with easy access to urban centers. The resort’s landscape captures the scenic character of Florida’s Nature Coast while offering modern conveniences.

In addition to cottages, the community includes two-story Fairway Homes positioned along the 10th hole of Roost. These homes emphasize outdoor living with expansive alfresco areas, tranquil vistas and private pools, creating a seamless connection between home and course.

Owners and visitors have use of fully stocked comfort stations, a golf pro shop and a sporting club. The Porch provides a casual gathering spot with games and food-and-beverage services. The Grange Hall serves as the central clubhouse, offering a varied menu, indoor and outdoor seating, a coffee shop, a bar and an inviting outdoor firepit lounge. Additional amenities coming later this year will include a racquet club with tennis, pickleball and padel courts, plus dedicated adult and family pool areas.

The new sporting club features axe throwing with custom targets, Five Stand shooting (a compact sporting clays format), archery for all skill levels and guided bass fishing with equipment provided for catch-and-release outings. Nearby natural assets expand the activity options: Withlacoochee State Forest offers hiking, biking and trails; spring-fed rivers and lakes around Crystal River support canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding; and the Gulf of Mexico presents world-class saltwater fishing.

Golf is central to the Cabot Citrus Farms experience. Karoo is an 18-hole “adventure golf” course showcasing wide Bermuda fairways, expansive greens and multiple strategic routes. Roost, the second 18-hole course, channels Old Florida charm with moss-draped canopies and sandy soils. The Squeeze is a 10-hole course that combines dramatic terrain with a festive atmosphere. The Wedge, an 11-hole par-3 layout, features large waste areas, sloping greens and varied lies—and is lighted for play after dark.

Sustainability is integral to the property’s design and operations. Cabot is the first multi-property brand to enroll every golf course and the surrounding built environment in Audubon International’s Platinum Signature Sanctuary certification program. The single, comprehensive certification covers the entire Cabot Citrus Farms footprint, including courses, clubhouse facilities, lodging, residences, restaurants and retail.
