Air Canada will expand its international network and convert several seasonal routes to year-round service in the coming year. Beginning June 4, 2015, the carrier will operate year-round flights between Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, with up to six weekly frequencies.
In addition, non-stop services introduced for the winter 2014–2015 season from Toronto to Rio de Janeiro–Galeão (GIG) and to Panama City–Tocumen (PTY) will continue through the summer 2015 schedule, maintaining connections between Canada and these key Latin American destinations.
Air Canada rouge will also increase its international footprint in Europe and Asia for the summer season. The leisure-focused subsidiary plans new five-times-weekly service between Vancouver International (YVR) and Osaka Kansai (KIX), along with twice-weekly flights between Montréal and Venice (VCE), starting May 1, 2015. These additions aim to offer more options for both leisure and visiting friends and relatives traffic while supporting seasonal travel demand.
Overall, the route adjustments reflect Air Canada’s strategy to strengthen year-round transatlantic capacity from Toronto, maintain growing Latin American links, and expand rouge’s leisure schedules across Europe and Asia for the 2015 travel season.
