Andaz 5th Avenue has partnered with Amazon Publishing to highlight the hotel’s cultural ties to New York City.
The hotel will offer a curated, rotating collection of books—selected by Amazon Publishing—available in each of its 47 suites. Every title is accompanied by a bookmark that explains the program and shares the inspiration behind each selection. Guests are invited to read the books during their stay and may choose to take them home as a keepsake.
“We are thrilled to be working with Amazon Publishing on this exciting offering for our guests,” said Cornelia Samara, general manager of Andaz 5th Avenue. “This thoughtfully assembled collection provides varied perspectives on New York City and reflects the local connections that define our hotel. From the art on our walls to the food and drinks we serve, these books reinforce the spirit of the Andaz brand and our relationship with the city.”
The featured titles at Andaz 5th Avenue include I Only Read It for the Cartoons by Richard Gehr (October), White Tiger on Snow Mountain by David Gordon (November), and Modern Man by Anthony Flint (December). Each selection was chosen to offer guests a deeper, more personal view of New York through history, culture, and storytelling.
By integrating literature into the guest experience, the hotel aims to create a more engaging and locally rooted stay. The rotating nature of the program ensures fresh perspectives throughout the year, while the accompanying bookmarks provide context and encourage discovery. Guests staying at Andaz 5th Avenue can expect to find reading material that complements the hotel’s design and programming, making each visit both culturally enriching and memorable.
This partnership underscores Andaz 5th Avenue’s commitment to celebrating New York’s cultural landscape and offering guests thoughtful, immersive experiences. The collection’s availability in every suite makes it easy for visitors to connect with the city through curated reading, whether they are in town for business, leisure, or simply to explore the city’s many layers.
