Beach House Fort Lauderdale: Hilton Resort Review & Stay Guide

ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: Over the years I’ve traveled to Florida’s east coast so often that it feels like a second home. This visit brought me to Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort. Along Las Olas Beach there are many beachfront properties, and each one manages to create its own distinct character. Beach House stands out as an all-suites resort in a prime, convenient location.

Finding the hotel was straightforward. After handing my car to the valet, a bellman escorted me into the lobby. There was a small hiccup with my reservation — their system showed my arrival for the following day — but once I presented my confirmation number the front desk resolved it quickly. It was a welcome reminder that keeping confirmation details handy makes travel smoother.

GUEST QUARTERS: My ocean-facing suite on the 11th floor felt more like a furnished residential apartment than a typical hotel room. The suite included a primary bathroom and a guest bathroom, both with glass showers and rainfall showerheads. The primary bathroom was a full five-piece arrangement with a jetted tub and an ocean view.

The king bedroom featured a flat-screen TV, a small workstation and a spacious closet — practical touches for a short business stay. The living room offered a large sofa, an armchair, another flat-screen TV, a coffee table and an ottoman. The living space opened to a full kitchen with granite countertops, a full-size refrigerator, stove and dishwasher.

While the interior was comfortable and well-appointed, the suite’s highlight was the generous wrap-around balcony overlooking the pool and the Atlantic. One morning I enjoyed hot tea on the balcony, watching early walkers leave footprints along the shoreline. It was one of the most expansive balconies I’ve encountered in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.

SERVICES/AMENITIES: Although this trip left little time for pampering, Beach House provides a full-service spa, a modern fitness center and bicycle rentals. The resort houses five dining options, ranging from relaxed poolside dining with firepits to a rooftop bar offering cocktails late into the evening, and Mediterranean-inspired dishes near the pool. Many restaurants and shops line A1A and are within easy walking distance if you want to explore beyond the property.

After a long day with clients I relaxed at the bar and had dinner at S3 (Sun, Surf & Sand). I enjoyed the sushi rolls and a lo mein noodle wok with crispy chicken, and finished with warm donuts served with three dipping sauces. Everything was fresh and well prepared.

TOP TAKEAWAYS:

  • Floor-to-ceiling windows deliver expansive views of the Atlantic from these residential-style, ocean-view suites.
  • With more than 10,000 square feet of event space and 375 guestrooms, the resort can host both small and large gatherings.
  • Unwind at the outdoor pool located on the sixth-floor terrace.
