Au Soleil: Le Méridien’s Summer Soirée Celebrating European Style

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts has launched a global summer initiative across more than 100 properties called Au Soleil: a Summer Soirée by Le Méridien. Inspired by European summer living, the program highlights a curated Petit Plates menu, music, art and tailored experiences that vary by location.

“No matter where you are from or where you are traveling, the idea of summer connotes a sense of slowing down and savoring the good life — a mentality that we celebrate at our hotels year-round,” said George Fleck, vice president of global brand marketing and management, Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. “With a hint of whimsy and a nostalgic nod to the glamour of the French Riviera in the 1960s, this program aims to inspire travelers to explore the world in style, the same way that we’re inspired when visiting destinations like Mauritius and Melbourne.”

The program debuted at Le Méridien Beach Plaza in Monte Carlo, where guests enjoyed musical performances, a custom-built rosé bar and beachside bites. At the same time, Le Méridien Ra in Catalonia introduced its own version featuring a signature gelato truck alongside Mediterranean dishes and sparkling cocktails.

This Saturday, Le Méridien Denver Downtown will present its take on Au Soleil with a Bastille Day aperitif hour. For the rest of the summer the hotel will offer daily aperitif hours in its restaurant and patio, Sunday rosé and backgammon gatherings in The Lobbyist bar, and vintage summer cinema nights on Mondays. These movie nights pair light bites, cocktails and music with screenings of classic 1960s films.

Le Méridien Versailles is rolling out similar weekly programming, transforming its outdoor terrace into a vintage-inspired Mediterranean retreat. Guests can expect live music, rosé cocktails, gelato and a Thursday backgammon tournament as part of the seasonal offerings.

Across participating Le Méridien locations, Au Soleil aims to evoke the relaxed elegance of European summers through small-plate menus, curated drinks, cultural touches and locally adapted events. The initiative provides travelers and locals alike with opportunities to savor relaxed afternoons and spirited evenings in a refined, continental style.
