Aloft Denver Downtown Hotel Review: Rooms, Amenities & Location

Enjoying the ride from Denver International Airport into downtown, I was so focused on the snow-capped mountains in the distance that I almost missed the cityscape rushing into view. After a 30–40 minute trip I arrived at the Aloft Denver Downtown.

Located in the heart of Denver’s bustling downtown, the Aloft provides a convenient and modern base for visitors. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived, so I settled into the lounge next to the W XYZ bar to get some work done. The space filled quickly with guests—some playing pool, others grabbing coffee from the complimentary bar behind the concierge desk. About 45 minutes later I received a text that my room was ready and I headed up to the third floor.

The guestroom was compact but efficient, and felt much larger once I opened the floor-to-ceiling curtains and looked out over the street. The design is simple and practical—ideal for a short stay. I placed my luggage on the bench at the foot of the queen-sized bed, set my computer and bag on the roomy desk, and hung a few items in the closet.

The hotel’s pantry in the lobby and the fitness center on the floor below are both open 24 hours, giving guests flexibility to come and go at any hour.

Situated just a block from the Colorado Convention Center and a short walk from the 16th Street Mall, the hotel is surrounded by breweries, restaurants, and local attractions. For business travelers and first-time visitors alike, the location makes it easy to explore the city and get oriented quickly.
