Alaska Airlines Launches New Seasonal Menu for Summer Flights

Alaska Airlines has introduced a refreshed seasonal menu in its main cabin, highlighting West Coast flavors and locally sourced ingredients. The update aims to offer passengers more variety and fresher choices while maintaining convenient service across flights.

The new main cabin options are available for pre-order through the Alaska Airlines mobile app on Boeing aircraft immediately, with pre-order functionality rolling out to Airbus and Embraer aircraft early next year. This pre-order feature is intended to make in-flight dining smoother by allowing passengers to reserve their meals in advance and reduce wait times during boarding and service.

The summer menu, offered through Nov. 15, focuses on balanced plates and approachable, familiar items. Breakfast selections include a fresh start protein platter featuring Greek yogurt, almonds, seasonal fruit, cheese, eggs, and turkey, alongside a croissant sandwich filled with bacon, eggs, greens, and avocado mayo. These items are designed to provide satisfying, nutritious choices for travelers on morning flights.

For lunch and dinner, passengers can choose from options such as a turkey and artichoke baguette, a protein platter similar to the breakfast version, and a classic Cobb salad. All-day selections include a signature fruit and cheese platter that pairs well with coffee or wine, giving passengers flexible choices regardless of flight time.

In addition to the food offerings, Alaska Airlines has curated a rotating selection of craft beers to complement the menu. Current beer selections include Ballast Point Sculpin IPA, Lagunitas 12th of Never Ale, Firestone Walker 805 Blonde Ale, and Alaskan Brewing Kölsch. These beers were chosen to reflect West Coast brewing traditions and provide recognizable, well-regarded options for passengers.

The carrier is also elevating its wine program, with a refreshed lineup scheduled to debut in the fall. The enhanced wine list aims to pair well with the new food selections and enhance the overall onboard experience for travelers who prefer wine with their meal or snack.

“We believe in offering our guests locally-inspired food options made with fresh and healthy ingredients,” said Sangita Woerner, vice president of marketing at Alaska Airlines. “By drawing inspiration from the Pacific Northwest and California, we’re building a consistent experience for guests across our fleet that brings to life our West Coast vibe.”

The seasonal menu update represents part of Alaska Airlines’ broader effort to modernize onboard offerings, emphasize local sourcing, and provide convenient digital tools for passengers. By combining pre-order capability with a focus on fresh, balanced menu items and a curated beverage selection, the airline aims to deliver a reliable and pleasant dining experience in the main cabin.

Passengers interested in the new menu can review and order available items through the Alaska Airlines mobile app when booking or shortly before departure on qualifying flights. As the pre-order feature expands to additional aircraft types, more travelers will have access to the full suite of seasonal options, craft beers, and the upcoming wine program.
