Alaska Airlines has opened a new lounge at New York’s JFK Airport, marking the carrier’s first lounge on the East Coast. The space brings a relaxed West Coast atmosphere to Terminal 7.
Designed to feel like a cozy living room, the lounge features comfortable seating and a casual layout. Staffed by baristas trained by Starbucks, the service emphasizes approachable, friendly hospitality. The food and beverage selection highlights West Coast wines and beers, alongside simple, wholesome options such as oatmeal, yogurt, soups and salads.
“We’re always looking to create warm, welcoming experiences for our guests,” said Brett Catlin, managing director of guest products at Alaska Airlines. The new JFK location represents the airline’s vision for the future of its lounge program.
Access to the lounge is complimentary for first-class passengers and Alaska Lounge members. Travelers flying with Alaska Airlines who prefer one-time access can purchase a day pass for $45. The lounge is situated on the mezzanine level of Terminal 7 at JFK.
Annual Alaska Lounge memberships also provide entry to the airline’s other lounges across more than 90 cities worldwide, offering frequent travelers a consistent, comfortable preflight experience.
