Airberlin Expands Flights and Service Enhancements to Turkey

airberlin has expanded its service to Turkey in response to the political unrest in Egypt, adding extra flights to Antalya to provide travelers with an alternative to Red Sea resorts. The additional frequencies run through Nov. 3 and connect several German cities directly to Antalya (AYT) on the Turkish Riviera.

Specifically, airberlin will operate one extra nonstop flight every Sunday from Berlin (TXL), Frankfurt (FRA), Leipzig (LEJ) and Munich (MUC). From Nuremberg (NUE) there will be an additional nonstop service every Thursday. Cologne-Bonn (CGN) will see extra flights on both Thursdays and Sundays. These schedule enhancements are intended to give holidaymakers more options and flexibility amid changing travel conditions in the region.

airberlin currently serves 151 destinations across 40 countries and says the temporary Antalya frequencies are aimed at offering guests reliable alternatives while demand shifts from destinations affected by the crisis.
