Qantas, Cathay Pacific and British Airways have opened a new shared lounge at Los Angeles International Airport. Designed with a contemporary California aesthetic, the lounge blends signature touches from each airline while offering a welcoming, modern environment for travelers.
The space features a communal fireplace and a central glass atrium that bring natural light and a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can choose from several areas to relax or work, including a dedicated dining zone, a cocktail bar, professional barista service, and individual workstations. For passengers seeking refreshment before their flight, the lounge includes nine private shower suites stocked with Aurora Spa amenities.
Food and beverage offerings were developed by Qantas chef Neil Perry, who created menus that reflect popular Qantas Lounge dishes infused with the multicultural flavors of Los Angeles. Influences range from Italian and Mexican to Chinese and Korean, alongside U.S. West Coast street-food styles. The lounge also features Californian-style food carts that serve freshly prepared items; examples include crumbed cod tacos with red cabbage slaw and lime chipotle mayo, as well as Asian-spiced chicken wings.
Overall the lounge aims to provide a comfortable and versatile pre-flight experience, combining thoughtful design, diverse dining options, and a range of amenities to suit business and leisure travelers alike.
