This year marks the 50th anniversary of Inkaterra. To celebrate, Inkaterra presents a special 50th anniversary itinerary: a seven-day, six-night journey through the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco, with optional extensions to Lima and the Amazon. The program immerses travelers in Peru’s history, biodiversity and culture. The itinerary below is valid through 2026.
Days 1 and 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas
The trip begins with a private transfer to Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba in the Sacred Valley. Guests can enjoy guided trail walks and hikes, and learn to prepare chicha de jora, a traditional Peruvian corn drink. On the second day, visitors explore the craft of traditional weaving at Manos de la Comunidad, browse the colorful Pisac market, and visit the dramatic circular terraces of Moray and the nearby salt pans of Maras.

Days 3 and 4: Machu Picchu
Travel to the cloud forest for a stay at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel and take a private half-day excursion to the Machu Picchu citadel with an Inkaterra guide. Additional signature experiences include the Orchid Trail, which highlights more than 372 orchid species on the property, or a traditional tea-making workshop at La Casa del Té.
Days 5 and 6: Cusco
Conclude the main portion of the trip in Cusco at Inkaterra La Casona, a restored 16th-century mansion that balances authenticity and luxury. Participants can enjoy the Coffee, Art & Culture experience to taste premium Peruvian coffee while exploring the city’s artistic and historic sites, including the Cathedral of Cusco, the fortress of Sacsayhuamán and nearby archaeological sites such as Qenko and Tambomachay.
