Delta Air Lines Announces New Domestic and International Routes

In summer 2017, Delta Air Lines is expanding its transatlantic schedule with added non-stop service from New York and Boston to several European destinations. The carrier will introduce new seasonal routes and resume previously operated links to better connect the northeastern United States with Europe.

Beginning in May 2017, Delta will launch non-stop seasonal service between Boston Logan International Airport and Dublin Airport. This service complements Delta’s existing non-stop flights to Dublin from New York (JFK) and Atlanta (ATL), providing travelers in New England with a direct option to Ireland during the summer months.

Also starting in May 2017, Delta will begin daily seasonal service between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Lisbon Airport, marking the carrier’s return to Portugal. At the same time, Delta will resume non-stop flights between JFK and Berlin Tegel Airport, restoring direct connectivity between New York and Germany’s capital.

These new and resumed routes will operate in coordination with Delta’s joint-venture partners, including Air France-KLM and Alitalia, allowing for improved schedule options and seamless connections across partner networks. The expanded service aims to meet growing summer demand for travel between the northeastern U.S. and Europe, offering travelers more direct flight choices and greater flexibility.

Passengers flying these seasonal routes can expect transatlantic convenience during the peak travel period, with options that serve both leisure and business travelers heading to Dublin, Lisbon, and Berlin. By adding Boston–Dublin and JFK–Lisbon, and by resuming JFK–Berlin, Delta strengthens its Atlantic network and provides additional capacity for travelers throughout the summer 2017 season.
