Experience The Lanesborough’s Bridgerton Afternoon Tea Like Royalty

Following the success of the Netflix series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, London’s The Lanesborough is offering a limited-edition Bridgerton-themed afternoon tea that invites guests to experience Regency-era elegance with a contemporary twist. Set beneath the hotel’s domed glass roof in its light-filled dining room, the service blends period glamour with modern hospitality.

The experience features a selection of signature teas, including a specially created Queen Charlotte blend that balances floral notes with black tea, producing a sweet infusion with hints of fruit and rose petal. Guests can also choose The Lanesborough’s classic Breakfast Tea alongside traditional black, green and herbal varieties.

Head pastry chef Salvatore Mungiovino has composed a menu that nods to key characters from the series. Savoury finger sandwiches include tea-cured salmon with lemon and caper cream; Coronation chicken with golden raisin and fresh coriander; deviled egg mayonnaise with mustard cress; organic cucumber with cream cheese, basil and chive; and a Montgomery cheddar scone served with cheese curd.

The pastry selection offers imaginative, refined creations. “Your Majesty” is a strawberry-scented cream bavarois finished in gold and red tones, with infused orange gel, a crunchy almond base and red chocolate edged with royal icing. “King George Dreams of Venus” presents a planet-shaped chocolate mousse with jasmine-infused dark chocolate ganache, cocoa sable and glazed blue-and-white stars.

Other highlights include “The Lady Violet,” a chocolate bavarois with mango compote and lime Chantilly on shortbread, decorated with tempered chocolate and sugar flowers; and “Danbury Delight,” a Berriolette pistachio gateau with whipped vanilla ganache on a vanilla sable base, finished with tempered chocolate.

Theatre and taste are complemented by a signature cocktail: the Queen Charlotte. It blends Fords Gin, Chambord, cranberry, exotic lychee, homemade vanilla syrup and lime, and is finished with Champagne for a bright, celebratory touch.

This Bridgerton-inspired afternoon tea is a seasonal offering, perfect for fans of the show and anyone seeking an opulent, characterful dining experience in the heart of London.
