The Waldorf Astoria Cancun and the all-inclusive Hilton Cancun resort expand Hilton’s presence in Mexico. Scheduled to open in 2021, the two neighboring properties share a resort campus spanning approximately 100 acres and offer a wide range of guestrooms and amenities.
“With more than half of our Latin America portfolio present in Mexico, we are proud to announce the plans for Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Hilton Cancun as we continue to introduce distinguished properties in the world’s most sought-after destinations,” said Juan Corvinos, vice president, development, Latin America and the Caribbean, Hilton. “Representing our luxury and upscale brands respectively, Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Hilton Cancun will offer guests a taste of Mexican culture fused with Waldorf Astoria’s uncompromising sophistication and Hilton Hotels & Resorts’ flagship hospitality.”
The Waldorf Astoria Cancun will feature 150 guestrooms and suites, many with waterfront or mangrove-facing terraces and private balconies. The property will include a signature Waldorf Astoria spa, two intimate plunge pools and two dining venues designed to reflect local flavors alongside refined international cuisine.
The Hilton Cancun resort will offer 600 guestrooms, each designed to take advantage of panoramic views. The all-inclusive property will provide direct beach access, an extensive pool complex and six distinct culinary outlets, giving guests a variety of dining options and casual to upscale experiences.
Located roughly 10 minutes from Cancun International Airport, both properties are well positioned for easy transfers and convenient access to the region’s attractions. Their proximity allows guests to explore nearby cultural sites, natural parks and local activities while enjoying resort amenities.
Together, the Waldorf Astoria Cancun and Hilton Cancun provide a complementary pair of offerings—one focused on luxury and personalized service, the other on elevated all-inclusive resort living—aimed at meeting diverse traveler preferences while strengthening Hilton’s footprint across Mexico.
