ANA Reveals New Premium Travel Classes and Upgraded In-Flight Services

Beginning in March, ANA will introduce new travel classes and upgraded in-flight services on flights to Singapore (SIN), Bangkok (BKK) and Jakarta (CGK), including the addition of premium economy.

On the same routes, the airline will expand its in-flight dining options, featuring a specially curated menu by “The Connoisseurs” served individually, course by course. ANA will also introduce its highest level of service, first class, on Narita (NRT)–Singapore (SIN) flights.

These service enhancements build on changes to ANA’s summer 2015 flight schedule announced in December 2014 and January 2015, reflecting growing passenger demand for travel between Japan and Southeast Asia and increasing international connections between Asia and North America.

By adding premium economy and first class on select routes, ANA aims to provide greater choice and comfort for a broader range of travelers. Premium economy will offer enhanced seating and amenities for passengers seeking more space and a higher level of service than economy class, while first class will deliver the most elevated in-flight experience with luxurious seating, personalized attention and premium dining.

The expanded dining options, including the course-by-course service from The Connoisseurs, underline ANA’s focus on elevating the onboard experience. Individually plated courses and carefully selected menus are intended to appeal to passengers who value culinary quality and a refined in-flight meal service. These changes are likely to enhance the overall perception of ANA’s regional offerings and align service standards with long-haul international products.

Introducing these improvements on routes connecting Japan with major Southeast Asian cities also supports growing demand for point-to-point travel as well as seamless international connections. Travelers flying between Asia and North America who connect through Japan stand to benefit from the upgraded cabin options and improved service consistency across ANA’s network.

With the rollout beginning in March, passengers planning travel to Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta can expect a broader selection of cabin choices and a higher standard of onboard service. The enhancements are positioned to meet diverse traveler needs—from those seeking increased comfort without the full cost of business class to those wanting a premium, all-inclusive first-class experience.

As airlines continue to differentiate products to attract discerning travelers, ANA’s introduction of premium economy, expanded dining and first class on select regional routes marks a strategic step to remain competitive and responsive to evolving passenger preferences. These updates align with the airline’s broader efforts to refine its schedules and services to match seasonal and long-term travel trends in the Asia-Pacific region.
