On the Melodies of the Danube aboard the new AmaSofia, guests can look forward to two evenings of Latin-inspired performances. The AmaMelodia and AmaMagdalena itineraries showcase the culture and scenery of Colombia, sailing between Cartagena and Barranquilla and featuring a themed party that captures the energy and flavors of Latin celebration.

“Latin Touch is all about creating a truly personalized river cruise experience for our Spanish-speaking guests,” said Joao Miranda, director of Business Development, AmaWaterways, Latin America. “Since launching the program in 2022, we’ve seen how much our guests appreciate these sailings, and we’re committed to expanding the program to better match their preferences. With one sailing through the heart of Europe on a popular itinerary and two new departures in Colombia, where we recently began cruising, the 2026 Latin Touch voyages are set to be memorable.”

These Latin-focused departures reflect a broader trend in the river cruise industry toward tailored experiences that respond to language preferences and cultural interests. By offering Spanish-language services and entertainment, AmaWaterways aims to make travel more accessible and engaging for Spanish-speaking guests, ensuring they can enjoy local excursions and onboard activities with ease. The Colombia sailings also enable travelers to explore diverse landscapes, local cuisine and vibrant festivals while benefiting from the comfort and amenities of modern river ships.

Bookings for the 2026 Latin Touch sailings are expected to attract families, couples and groups seeking immersive cultural experiences paired with the relaxed pace of river cruising. With curated excursions led in Spanish and onboard programs that highlight music, dance and culinary traditions, these itineraries offer a blend of discovery and celebration tailored specifically to Spanish-speaking travelers.

As AmaWaterways continues to grow its Latin Touch program, future offerings may expand to additional regions and itineraries, reflecting guest demand and the strong interest in culturally focused river travel. For travelers seeking a river cruise that combines the convenience of guided tours with authentic cultural moments presented in Spanish, the 2026 Latin Touch sailings provide a compelling option.
