Virgin Hotels Debuts First London Hotel This August

On Aug. 1, Virgin Hotels debuts its first London property. Located in the heart of Shoreditch, this hotel will be the brand’s eighth Virgin Hotels location worldwide and the 17th property in the broader Virgin Hotels Collection.

The hotel offers 120 thoughtfully designed guestrooms and a wide range of elevated experiences characteristic of luxury lifestyle hospitality. Dining on site will include the existing restaurant BiBo, led by chef Dani García, which features Spanish-influenced cuisine.

Guestrooms include signature Virgin Hotels amenities such as red Smeg fridges, the brand’s patented beds and mattresses, and the Lucy app, which lets guests control room features from their phones. The hotel will also feature Richard’s Flat, a top-tier suite option.

A rooftop bar with skyline views, a pool, a private members’ club, a gym, and treatment rooms are among the leisure offerings available to guests. The current lobby bar and café, Christina’s, will stay open initially and later be reimagined as a distinctive dining concept.

“We’re all absolutely delighted that Virgin Hotels Collection will be opening a Virgin hotel in London,” said Sir Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group. “Since the inception of Virgin Hotels, we’ve had our sights set on London — a place that so many of our customers either call home or name as one of their favorite destinations, and of course where Virgin’s story started.”

Bookings for Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch will open in early July for stays beginning Aug. 1.
