Grand Hyatt Expands in India with Third Hotel Opening

Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty has opened as the third Grand Hyatt-branded property in India. This 264-room urban waterfront resort in Kerala combines striking architecture, luxurious accommodations and extensive event facilities, positioned on the scenic shores of Vembanad Lake in a region celebrated for its beaches and maritime history.

“We are delighted to introduce the Grand Hyatt brand to Kerala and grow our brand footprint in the region,” said Sunjae Sharma, vice president of operations for India, Hyatt. “Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty is a spectacular destination resort setting a new standard for living grand in the city. Both inside and out, the hotel’s design, cuisine and grand experiences celebrate the hospitality of Kochi.”

The hotel offers 38 suites and four private villas, each designed with contemporary comforts and local influences. Guestrooms feature modern amenities and lake or garden views, delivering a balance of relaxation and refined style for both leisure and business travelers.

Dining options cover a range of regional and international flavors. Malabar Cafe serves South Indian specialties throughout the day, highlighting local ingredients and traditional recipes. Thai Soul operates as a poolside eatery focused on the bold street-food flavors of Bangkok. For elevated rooftop dining, Colony Clubhouse & Grill blends colonial and Arabic influences, emphasizes seafood, and provides panoramic views of Vembanad Lake.

The resort’s meeting and event spaces total 32,290 square feet, including a grand ballroom and a selection of smaller meeting rooms suited for corporate events, weddings and social gatherings. The hotel also manages the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Center, one of the region’s largest luxury convention venues, enabling large-scale conferences and exhibitions.

Wellness and recreation are central to the property’s offerings. A luxury spa presents a combination of Ayurvedic therapies and international treatments across seven treatment rooms, supported by an indoor pool, relaxation lounges and a hydrotherapy area. Outdoor amenities include a large swimming pool and a separate children’s pool, an amphitheater, exploration gardens, a dedicated yoga lawn, a multipurpose court and a beauty salon. For added convenience, the property features three helipads.

To mark the opening, the hotel is running a limited-time offer through July 27 that includes complimentary daily breakfast and one spa treatment per stay. The new Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty aims to deliver a full-service resort experience that highlights Kerala’s cultural and culinary heritage while providing the facilities required for modern events and high-end leisure travel.
