Hilton Worldwide plans to open a new 250-room Conrad Hotels & Resorts property in Cartagena, Colombia, in 2015. As Conrad’s second hotel in Latin America, the new Conrad Cartagena will be part of the Karibana Beach & Golf Condominium, the country’s first luxury resort development. The complex will include a golf course and club, a full-service spa, beachfront access and a beach club.
Conrad Cartagena will provide a range of amenities designed for both leisure and business travelers. Onsite facilities will include an executive lounge, a business center, a signature restaurant and an all-day dining venue. Guests will also find a pool bar, a coffee shop and an outdoor swimming pool for relaxation and socializing.
In addition to dining and recreation options, the hotel will offer substantial meeting and event facilities, with approximately 14,000 square feet of flexible event space. That area will comprise a grand ballroom, pre-function space, two breakout rooms, two boardrooms and six additional flexible meeting rooms, accommodating conferences, weddings and other large gatherings.
The Cartagena property will join Conrad’s existing Latin American location, Conrad Punta del Este Resort and Casino in Uruguay, expanding the brand’s presence in the region and offering travelers another upscale beachfront option in South America.
