Air France Introduces Innovative New Business Class Seat

Air France is enhancing the long-haul passenger experience by introducing a new business class cabin on 44 Boeing 777 aircraft, the backbone of its long-range fleet. Deployment begins this summer and reflects the carrier’s focus on comfort, privacy and modern in-flight amenities.

Developed in partnership with Zodiac Aerospace, a prominent aircraft seat manufacturer, the new business class seat converts into a fully flat bed and provides direct aisle access for every passenger. The seat’s design incorporates enveloping curves that create a protected personal space, increasing both privacy and a sense of security during the flight.

Entertainment and connectivity have been upgraded as well. Each seat features a 16-inch high-definition touch-screen monitor offering up to 1,000 hours of on-demand programming. For device power and charging, passengers have access to an electrical outlet and a USB port. Noise-reduction headphones are provided to improve audio quality and reduce cabin noise.

Comfort items have been thoughtfully chosen: a light duvet and a feather-down pillow are supplied to enhance rest on long journeys. Together with the fully flat bed and ergonomic seating, these amenities are intended to help passengers arrive at their destination refreshed.

Air France operates a large global network and, through its regional subsidiary Hop!, serves domestic and short-haul routes. The group currently operates approximately 1,500 daily flights with a combined fleet of around 389 aircraft, connecting travelers across continents and supporting the airline’s long-haul services.
