CitizenM Opens New Hotel in Copenhagen: What Travelers Need to Know

With a commitment to accessible luxury, the award-winning Dutch citizenM hotel brand has added citizenM Copenhagen Radhuspladsen to its growing portfolio. Situated at H.C. Andersens Boulevard 12, the hotel offers a prime central location that appeals to both leisure and business travelers. Guests are within easy walking distance of Tivoli Gardens, the National Museum of Denmark and City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen). A new metro line with a stop at Rådhuspladsen Station is scheduled to begin service in July and will provide a direct connection to Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup (CPH). Until the metro opens, Copenhagen Central Station remains only an eight-minute walk away.

All 238 guestrooms feature extra-large king-sized beds, luxury linens, Grohe power showers and in-room iPads known as MoodPads. These MoodPads control room temperature, adjustable colored lighting, automated window blinds and access to a complimentary film library, delivering a seamless, tech-forward stay. Public spaces include the brand’s popular top-floor living room furnished with contemporary pieces by Danish designer Verner Panton and British designer Jasper Morrison. The hotel blends commissioned and collected artworks across its interiors and offers an outdoor terrace with a sky bar serving craft cocktails.

Additional guest amenities include collectionM, a curated gift shop, and canteenM, a 24-hour snack shop. Artwork is integrated throughout the property, from an entrance mural by Troels Aagaard to ceiling and wall pieces in guestrooms and the sky bar by artists Ditte Ejlerskov and HuskMitNavn.
