Loews Hotels and Company announced plans for a $150 million luxury hotel developed in partnership with Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers.
Rising 14 stories, the 302-room Live! by Loews flagship will be part of the Texas Live! entertainment district in Arlington, Texas. Scheduled to open in 2019, the glass tower will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and a range of amenities, including a 60-foot-wide Tower Terrace that overlooks an event lawn, an outdoor infinity-edge pool and a rooftop terrace available for private events.
“An upscale hotel in the Entertainment District has long been a dream for Arlington and we couldn’t be more excited to see that dream become a reality with the addition of a Loews branded hotel,” said Jeff Williams, mayor of Arlington. “With this announcement, we have just combined three world-class businesses with a world-class destination. This is a home run for Arlington and its residents and visitors.”
The hotel will include a two-story, 35,000-square-foot grand event center designed for meetings and conventions with sweeping views across the entertainment district. The center will feature a grand ballroom with seating for up to 1,500 guests and a 1,500-square-foot terrace overlooking Johnson Creek.
Live! by Loews Arlington will offer more than two dozen suites, a coffee bar, a signature restaurant and a fitness facility. The property will also house a brewery, bar and tasting room operated by Revolver Brewing, a Texas-based brewer.
Strategically positioned between the Rangers’ Globe Life Park and the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, the hotel complements the broader $250 million Texas Live! complex. The development is expected to create more than 3,000 jobs in Arlington. The Live! complex is scheduled to open in April 2018, timed to coincide with the next baseball season.
