This September, The Peninsula Hotels will once again lead a select group of motoring enthusiasts through the Scottish Highlands for six days of scenic mountain passes, historic estates and unforgettable driving experiences with its newest edition of The Peninsula Motoring Series, Scotland.
Marking the series’ first European appearance after successful drives in Asia (Japan) and North America (California), The Peninsula Motoring Series, Scotland begins on Sept. 21. The six-day itinerary combines spirited driving, cultural immersion and relaxed fellowship as participants explore some of Scotland’s most iconic roads and landscapes.
“These driving experiences reflect our belief that luxury travel today is about depth, not distance,” said Kai Lermen, senior vice president, The Peninsula Signature Events. “When we bring The Peninsula to Scotland, we are not just organizing a trip; we are cultivating a global community of people who share a genuine passion for motoring, discovery and authentic connection. Participants from past events often remain in touch for years afterward. We create memories that last long after the journey ends.”

The program begins at The Peninsula London, where guests gather to meet fellow drivers, share a welcome dinner and enjoy a visit to the Royal Automobile Club. From London, participants fly to Edinburgh and continue to Gleneagles, where they will be introduced to the classic, era-appropriate cars that will serve as their transport for the drive.
Limited to an intimate group, the six-day route winds north through some of Scotland’s most dramatic scenery. Each day features spirited driving on carefully selected roads, with leisurely lunches at authentic inns and time to discover local culture and history. The journey includes a three-night stay at an exclusive historic estate, providing a luxurious base for rest and socializing between drives.
Earlier in the calendar, Aug. 10–12, The Peninsula Motoring Series, California—commonly known as The Quail Rally—returns to California’s Monterey Peninsula for its 29th year. This three-day event offers exhilarating drives along California’s famed routes, V.I.P. access to Monterey Car Week activities and attendance at The Peninsula’s classic car and luxury lifestyle showcase, The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.
