Qatar Airways has introduced its first Airbus A380 on the popular Doha (DOH)–London (LHR) route, and the carrier plans to add a second A380 to that service this December.
The aircraft is configured across two decks to accommodate 517 passengers in three classes: eight seats in First Class, 48 in Business Class and 461 in Economy Class.
First Class passengers benefit from fully flat 180-degree beds and 26-inch LCD screens for in-flight entertainment. Business Class also offers fully flat 180-degree beds alongside 17-inch touchscreen monitors. In Economy Class, travelers have access to 10.6-inch entertainment screens and seats with approximately 7 inches of recline, designed to enhance comfort on long-haul flights.
“Qatar Airways is committed to offering our passengers the best possible experience when it comes to traveling with our airline,” said Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive of the Qatar Airways Group. “We are delighted to witness the beginning of the first Qatar Airways A380 commercial service. This aircraft, with its customized interior, will set a new level of comfort for our passengers.”
