Fontainebleau Miami Beach Opens Family-Friendly Pop-Up Experience

Fontainebleau Miami Beach introduced a family-focused summer pop-up from Michelin-starred chef Michael Mina in June: PIZZA + BURGER. Alongside this limited-time culinary concept, the resort is presenting a range of family-centered programming through Labor Day designed to create memorable experiences for guests of all ages. These offerings reflect a trend among luxury hotels to provide exclusive, immersive activities that involve food and beverage as well as entertainment and leisure.

Weekly family pastry classes and kitchen tours give children and parents a behind-the-scenes look at Fontainebleau’s pastry operations. Held every Wednesday and Saturday, the sessions start at 11 a.m. and are limited to eight participants, ensuring hands-on attention from the hotel’s pastry chefs. Children aged five and up are welcome to participate; reservations are required.

Poolside movie nights allow families to relax and enjoy favorite films on a large outdoor screen measuring 14 by 24 feet. The schedule also includes live screenings of major events, such as the Summer Olympics, so guests can gather and cheer together in a social, festive atmosphere.

To complement the programming, the resort provides complimentary pool- and beach-side games and equipment. Available items include oversized chess boards and boogie boards, along with other family-friendly toys that encourage active play and shared downtime in the sun.

By combining special dining concepts like PIZZA + BURGER with interactive activities, culinary workshops and outdoor entertainment, Fontainebleau Miami Beach aims to offer a full-season family experience that appeals to multi-generational travelers looking for both relaxation and engaging hotel-led programming.
