La Compagnie Expands Paris Flights and Schedules

Following the Brexit referendum, business-class airline La Compagnie has suspended its New York (EWR) to London (LHR) service and will increase daily flights between New York and Paris (CDG). The carrier will begin a second daily service on the Paris route in October to meet growing demand.

Frantz Yvelin, founder and CEO of La Compagnie, explained the decision: “We believe in the UK’s unique market position, and for the past 16 months we invested heavily in the London route. However, the recent referendum result has created an unprecedented level of legal and economic uncertainty for airlines operating to Great Britain. That uncertainty influenced our choice to accelerate development on the Paris–New York route, where loads already exceed 80 percent. We recognize the success of our model and the rising demand from corporate and leisure travelers on that corridor. Once the Brexit implications are clarified, we will reassess opportunities from London and other British cities.”

The London route will no longer operate after September 25. Passengers booked on flights scheduled on or after that date will receive a full refund or may transfer to the Paris route at no additional cost.

La Compagnie’s shift reflects a strategic response to market conditions and regulatory uncertainty. By expanding frequency on the Paris–New York service, the airline aims to capitalize on strong load factors and a clear demand profile. The move prioritizes route stability and predictable regulatory environments while keeping the option open to return to the UK market if and when Brexit-related consequences are resolved.

For impacted travelers, the airline’s refund and rebooking options are intended to minimize disruption. Customers affected by the suspension should contact La Compagnie directly to confirm their preferred resolution and to receive any needed assistance with changes or refunds.
