From Piraeus port you can reach Hydra, Spetses, Aegina and Poros directly.

Hydra
Hydra town curves around a hillside above the Argosaronic Gulf like an amphitheater, making it one of Greece’s most romantic spots. The island’s most distinctive feature is the absence of cars: transportation is by mule, donkey and water taxi, creating a peaceful, timeless atmosphere. Stroll the stone streets, visit waterfront cafés and enjoy the relaxed pace of island life.
Hydra is about a two-hour ferry ride from Piraeus port in Athens.

Hydra

Hydra Island is an hour and a half from Athens by ferry. Hydra has no cars or motorised vehicles.

Spetses
Also reachable in about two hours from Athens, Spetses is a favored weekend destination for Greeks and a charming escape for international visitors. The island’s car-free streets encourage leisurely exploration on foot or by bicycle and preserve a tranquil ambience. Elegant architecture and well-preserved Venetian mansions punctuate the town center, reflecting Spetses’ maritime history and refined character.

Spetses

Spetses, at just 54 nautical miles from Athens, is a picturesque, car-free island with a unique architecture, naval history and culture.

Aegina
Aegina offers a mix of charming villages, inviting beaches and numerous archaeological sites, making it suitable for travelers with varied interests. Aegina Town, centrally located on the island, features neoclassical buildings, narrow alleys and a lively seafront promenade where locals and visitors gather. Sample local cuisine, explore historic sites and relax along the coast.
Ferry rides to Aegina take between about 40 minutes and just over an hour, making it an excellent option for a short, activity-packed getaway.
