Singapore Airlines Introduces New Boeing 787-10 Fleet

In late March, Singapore Airlines unveiled the world’s first Boeing 787-10, the longest member of Boeing’s Dreamliner family at 224 feet. Designed for higher passenger capacity, this model accommodates up to 337 travelers, with 36 business-class seats and 301 economy-class seats.

The 787-10 cabin focuses on passenger comfort and modern amenities. Both cabins feature advanced mood lighting and electronically dimmable window shades. Business-class seats convert to fully flat beds for restful overnight travel, while economy seats include six-way adjustable headrests and a more contoured backrest for improved support on longer journeys.

Every seat on the new aircraft is equipped with Singapore Airlines’ myKrisWorld in-flight entertainment system. myKrisWorld personalizes content based on a passenger’s past selections and allows users to resume entertainment across flights when logged into their Singapore Airlines account, creating a seamless viewing experience.

Singapore Airlines placed an order for 49 Boeing 787-10 aircraft and launched the type on commercial service in May. The airline plans to deploy these jets on routes up to approximately eight hours in duration, matching the aircraft’s efficient design and focus on passenger experience.

Overall, the 787-10 combines increased capacity with cabin enhancements that aim to elevate comfort and connectivity for both business and economy travelers, reflecting Singapore Airlines’ ongoing investment in next-generation aircraft and onboard services.
