Beer enthusiasts will soon have another reason to visit Escondido, California: Stone Brewing is building a hotel and brewery in the Southern California city, with opening planned for 2018.
Called the Stone Hotel, the 100,000-square-foot development sits within walking distance of the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens. The property will include 99 guest rooms, three bars and a growler-delivery room service. Guests arriving at the Stone Hotel will be welcomed with a complimentary beer sample and can continue enjoying brews in a pub-style lobby.
Guest rooms emphasize energy efficiency and offer floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies. The hotel will also provide standard hospitality amenities such as a ballroom, pool deck, rooftop garden and outdoor event spaces suitable for beer-centric gatherings. After enjoying several IPAs, visitors can return safely to their rooms without having to arrange a designated driver.
This debut from one of the nation’s most popular craft breweries highlights a growing trend of collaboration between the beer industry and hospitality providers, signaling promising opportunities for both sectors.
