Royal Caribbean Launches Its Newest Cruise Ship: First Voyage Highlights

Anthem of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International’s newest ship, debuts this month with a range of fresh onboard experiences, from skydiving and cutting-edge entertainment to ultra-fast wireless connectivity.

With capacity for 4,180 guests across 2,090 staterooms, the ship begins her inaugural spring and summer season from her homeport in Southampton, United Kingdom. She will offer a variety of European and Mediterranean itineraries before crossing the Atlantic in the fall to take up permanent residence at Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New York Harbor. From New York, Anthem of the Seas will operate routes to destinations in the Caribbean.

Dining options on board include 18 venues, with five complimentary main dining rooms among them. Guests can take in panoramic views from North Star, a glass observation capsule that rises more than 300 feet above the water; enjoy immersive, multi-dimensional shows in several state-of-the-art venues; experience RipCord by iFly, the first skydiving simulation offered at sea; and visit SeaPlex, the largest indoor activity space on a cruise ship, which features bumper cars, a circus school, and roller skating.
