Westin Expands in Spain: New Starwood Hotels and Locations

Starwood Hotels & Resorts will open a new Westin property in Spain early next year, located in the highly desirable Marbella market. The Westin La Quinta Golf & Spa Resort marks the return of the Westin brand to the scenic Andalusian resort area of Benahavis and will be the third Westin in Spain.

Situated less than a 45-minute drive from Malaga International Airport, the resort will offer 172 guestrooms, including five suites and one presidential suite, designed to deliver comfort and modern amenities. The property will include a range of leisure facilities and several distinct dining venues that showcase regional and international cuisine. Guests will also have access to meeting and event facilities, featuring a ballroom, three meeting rooms and a 24-hour business center suitable for both corporate and social events.

Golf is a central feature of the resort: the hotel will be paired with a 27-hole Championship course complemented by challenging links. Golfers will benefit from world-class support facilities, including a driving range, putting green and a Club House that houses a bar and restaurant, creating a complete golf and leisure experience.

The Westin La Quinta Golf & Spa Resort will become the 18th Westin property in Europe, joining an established network of Westin hotels in major European destinations such as Berlin, Costa Navarino, Dublin, Madrid, Paris, Venice and Warsaw. This expansion reflects Westin’s strategy to strengthen its presence in key resort and urban markets across the continent.

With its combination of luxury accommodations, comprehensive leisure and meeting amenities, and a standout golf offering, The Westin La Quinta Golf & Spa Resort is positioned to appeal to a wide range of travelers—leisure guests seeking relaxation and recreation, golfers looking for quality courses and facilities, and business travelers needing event and meeting services. Its proximity to Malaga International Airport and Marbella’s attractions also makes it an attractive base for exploring the Costa del Sol.
