A luxury hotel has opened in one of Jerusalem’s most upscale and sought-after neighborhoods, on a historic site once occupied by the German Templar Society.
The Orient Jerusalem is the newest member of Isrotel Hotel Chain’s Exclusive Collection of five-star properties, representing a significant addition to Israel’s tourism landscape.

Located in the German Colony in western Jerusalem, The Orient Jerusalem stands at a cultural crossroads, close to entertainment, dining and leisure destinations. It is a short 20-minute journey from the Old City and within steps of HaTachana, Jerusalem’s first train station, built in 1892. The immediate area is known for designer boutiques, fashionable cafés, acclaimed restaurants and a lively street scene.
The hotel offers 243 well-appointed guestrooms featuring contemporary design accented with locally crafted details and natural materials. Honoring the site’s Templar heritage, an on-site interactive museum presents the history of the original structure. The property also hosts the Orient Jerusalem Contemporary Art Collection, which highlights Israeli artists and cultural themes.
Facilities include a spa and wellness center, a rooftop infinity pool and a signature restaurant led by executive chef Eric Attias. These amenities are designed to appeal to both leisure and business travelers seeking refined comfort and local character.
“Opening The Orient Jerusalem marks an important milestone in a line of tourism improvements in Jerusalem,” said Lior Raviv, CEO of Isrotel. “We are honored to bring our hospitality offerings back to our capital city and to see years of hard work and collaboration come to life at what is sure to be one of the top hotels in Israel and beyond.”
