Aruba Commits $100M to Major Island Upgrades and Tourism Boost

As part of an ongoing revitalization and beautification initiative, Aruba has invested more than $100 million in hotel and airport improvements to elevate the visitor experience across the island.

“Aruba’s government, hotel partners, airport authority, businesses and residents are all dedicated to enhancing our One Happy Island,” said Otmar Oduber, minister of Tourism, Transportation, Primary Sector and Culture. “Guests enjoy five-star service from the moment they arrive, and we invite them to discover the evolving attractions throughout our destination.”

Significant hotel investments include a $25 million renovation of the adults-only Marina Suites and the family-friendly Ocean Suites at Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino; $20 million in enhancements at the Marriott Aruba; and $12 million in upgrades at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino. These projects focus on refreshed guest rooms, improved public spaces, modernized amenities and upgraded dining options to meet contemporary traveler expectations.

Reina Beatrix International Airport is also rolling out improvements to passenger facilities. Planned upgrades include new dining venues, more seating throughout the terminal, expanded airport-wide WiFi and a refreshed arrival hall and VIP lounges. Together, these airport enhancements aim to streamline arrivals and departures while adding comfort and convenience for travelers.

These coordinated investments by public and private partners reflect Aruba’s commitment to maintaining high standards for hospitality and infrastructure. By modernizing key hotels and airport facilities, the island is positioning itself to offer a seamless, comfortable stay for returning guests and newcomers alike, while preserving the warm local welcome that defines the destination.
