Accor Middle East has introduced its Aparthotels Adagio brand to the region, announcing the opening of its first Adagio property in Al Bustan, Abu Dhabi. Scheduled to welcome guests this October, the Adagio Abu Dhabi Al Bustan will offer 279 serviced apartments tailored to longer stays, combining the comforts of apartment living with hotel-style services and flexible pricing for extended guests.
The launch marks Accor’s expansion of the upper-midscale serviced apartment concept into the Middle East. Accor Middle East plans to roll out nine additional Adagio properties across key regional cities over the next three years, with five of those scheduled to open by year-end. The move builds on Aparthotels Adagio’s existing footprint in Europe, where the brand operates more than 10,000 apartments in cities including Paris, Berlin, Munich, Monaco, Geneva and Vienna.
“The Aparthotels Adagio brand is already familiar to Middle Eastern travelers who visit Paris and other European destinations,” said Martine Balouka-Vallette, CEO of Aparthotels Adagio. “As a European leader in the urban residence market, we are excited to expand into the Middle East, an important strategic region for our continued growth.”
The debut adds to Accor’s growing presence in the Middle East, where the group currently manages over 59 hotels and has about 20 more properties in the development pipeline. The Adagio introduction reflects a broader trend toward flexible, longer-stay accommodation options that blend apartment-style living with hotel amenities, addressing demand from business travelers, families and guests seeking longer-term stays in the region’s urban centers.
Adagio Abu Dhabi Al Bustan will provide residents and guests with a range of apartment sizes and in-room facilities designed for comfort during extended visits, alongside services such as housekeeping, reception and access to on-site amenities. The regional rollout will focus on creating convenient, centrally located residences that meet both short- and long-term accommodation needs while maintaining the service standards associated with Accor’s global brands.
By expanding Aparthotels Adagio across the Middle East, Accor aims to strengthen its portfolio in the urban residence segment and offer travelers an alternative that balances the privacy and space of an apartment with the convenience and reliability of a hotel. The brand’s proven success in European urban markets positions it to meet diverse guest needs across the Middle East as the regional hospitality market continues to evolve.
