Ovolo Hotels expanded its boutique collection in Brisbane with the opening of Ovolo The Valley in November 2018.
As the second Ovolo property in Queensland—following Ovolo Incholm earlier in 2018—Ovolo The Valley offers 103 rooms and suites across five categories, ranging from mid-size rooms to Rockstar Suites.
“Our brief to Woods Bagot was that each of our hotels must have its own unique personality and style, inspired by local surrounds, culture, heritage and Ovolo’s playful, forward-thinking spirit, and they’ve delivered exactly that,” said Girish Jhunjhnuwala, founder and CEO of Ovolo Group. “There is an element of fantasy, escapism and play in Ovolo The Valley. We’re positioning it as the perfect contemporary oasis to escape our busy urban lives.”
The hotel includes a rooftop swimming pool with views across Fortitude Valley, as well as a gym, sauna and meeting room. Standard complimentary amenities feature 24-hour room service, large flat-screen televisions, plentiful power outlets, phone chargers and Amazon’s Alexa voice service.
“We’re proud that Girish has chosen yet again to bring his unique Ovolo style and sensibility to Brisbane,” said Kate Jones, tourism industry development minister for Brisbane.
Guests can also expect a new restaurant and bar concept to be unveiled at the property in 2019.
