Six Senses is planning an eco-conscious resort, spa, and residential community along the South Carolina coast, with properties on Hilton Head Island, Daufuskie Island, and Bay Point Island. Scheduled to open in 2026, the multi-island development will be located a short distance from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and will emphasize sustainable design and low-impact operations.
Hilton Head Island will serve as the primary arrival hub and welcome center for guests and homeowners. That location will include a curated retail space and restaurant and act as the convenient embarkation point for transfers to the other islands. From Hilton Head, guests and residents will board hybrid yachts or electric boats for a short cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway to reach the resort islands.

On Daufuskie Island, the southernmost inhabited sea island in South Carolina, Six Senses plans beachfront guestrooms, private suites, and standalone cottages set amid maritime forest and dune landscapes. The island resort will feature a main all-day restaurant, a specialty dining venue and bar, a beach club, a pool grill, and rotating pop-up programming. Menus will emphasize seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to showcase regional flavors.
Beyond dining, Daufuskie will include an integrated farm to supply fresh produce, a championship golf course, equine therapy offerings, and a range of water-based activities. The resort’s experiences will be designed to connect guests with the island’s natural environment while maintaining conservation standards.
The Six Senses Spa will also be located on Daufuskie Island, providing a dedicated space for wellness with yoga, meditation, mindfulness programs, and a variety of holistic treatments aimed at relaxation and restorative care.
Bay Point Island will host a small residential community focused on environmental stewardship. The villas there are planned to include advanced infrastructure and sustainable systems such as renewable energy generation and reverse-osmosis water supply. These residences are intended as year-round homes or second homes that minimize ecological impact. A limited number of villas will be made available for sale this year.
Six Senses is positioning the South Carolina project within a wider expansion of the brand. The company also anticipates openings in other regions, including the Caribbean, where Six Senses La Sagesse is slated for Grenada as part of the brand’s growing portfolio of wellness-focused properties.
