Youth on Course, a nonprofit that expands academic and career opportunities for young people through golf, has announced its annual online auction and benefit event for junior golfers, running Nov. 11–15.
The organization gives its members access to rounds of golf for roughly $5 or less, while auction proceeds support programs such as subsidized caddie initiatives, internships, college scholarships and other youth development efforts. Based in Pebble Beach, California, Youth on Course began as a charitable outreach program of the Northern California Golf Association. Since its launch in 2008, the program has awarded more than $1.4 million in scholarships to over 220 students.
With a membership that exceeds 45,000, Youth on Course and its supporters gain exclusive bidding opportunities on distinctive golf experiences and packages. Auction items have included rounds and dinners at highly private venues, as well as access to historic and renowned courses like Lahinch Golf Club, Winged Foot, Riviera, Sand Valley and Merion Golf Club, among others.
The online auction offers golfers and supporters a way to contribute directly to scholarship funds and youth programs while competing for rare access to top courses and curated golf experiences. Funds raised help sustain local caddie programs, pay for internship placements and underwrite college scholarships that enable talented students to pursue higher education and career pathways connected to the game.
Youth on Course continues to build partnerships with clubs and donors to expand affordable play and educational support for young golfers nationwide. The auction is part of the organization’s broader strategy to raise unrestricted funds that fuel programming, grow membership benefits and create lasting pathways from junior golf into college and career opportunities.
Participants in the auction can expect a rotating selection of unique packages, including private-course rounds, hospitality experiences and memorabilia. By bidding, members and supporters directly invest in programs that remove financial barriers to play and give students hands-on exposure to caddying, course operations, hospitality and other golf-industry careers.
The annual benefit event represents both a celebration of youth achievement in golf and a practical fundraising effort to expand access and opportunity. Proceeds are earmarked for initiatives that provide tangible, long-term benefits—scholarships for college, paid internships that build skills, and caddie subsidies that connect young people to mentorship and steady income while in school.
As Youth on Course prepares for the Nov. 11–15 auction, it continues to highlight the dual impact of its work: making golf affordable for young players and using the game as a platform to support education and career development. For members and donors, the auction is a chance to secure once-in-a-lifetime golf experiences while directly supporting programs that change lives.
