Yoga Retreat at Ashford Castle: Find Inner Peace in Ireland

This autumn, Ireland’s famous Ashford Castle is offering its first dedicated Yoga Retreat, led by renowned instructor Ata Baechler of Insens Geneva.

Set on the shores of Lough Corrib and beside the River Cong, the recently refurbished Ashford Castle sits within tranquil woodlands with views of the lake and nearby mountains. The peaceful surroundings make it an ideal setting for a restorative retreat. Guests can enjoy the castle’s luxurious amenities while taking time to slow down through guided yoga and meditation practices.

The three-night retreat, running Nov. 19–22, includes overnight accommodation, daily meals with gourmet organic choices, and transfers from Knock or Shannon airports. The program features daily yoga classes and meditation sessions, plus an Indian head massage to help participants relax and recharge.

Guests also have full access to the five-star resort’s facilities and activities, which include a spa, cinema, billiards room, archery, horseback riding, clay target shooting, lake cruises, kayaking, zip lining, nature walks, golf, tennis, and Ireland’s first school of falconry.

“The fast pace of modern life can cause us to neglect our health and wellbeing, so we’re delighted to welcome Ata Baechler to Ashford Castle and to give guests the chance to slow down in peaceful surroundings and luxurious comfort,” said Niall Rochford, general manager of Ashford Castle.

The yoga retreat package is available from $1,325 per person.
