W Hotels has announced a new property on Spain’s Playa Real de Zaragoza, set to open in 2021. The development — W Marbella and The Residences at W Marbella — will be located a short drive from Marbella’s lively downtown and will bring the brand’s contemporary energy to one of Southern Spain’s most sought-after beachfronts.
The new W Marbella, part of Marriott International’s portfolio, will include 200 guestrooms, among them 26 suites and an Extreme Wow Suite, the brand’s modern interpretation of a presidential accommodation. Guests can expect a dynamic mix of amenities designed for a vibrant, leisure-focused crowd: a signature restaurant and lively bar, an AWAY spa with a beauty salon and juice bar, a FIT fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, and two WET pool decks for relaxation and socializing.
For meetings and events, the hotel will feature five contemporary meeting rooms, each with covered terraces that allow for outdoor gatherings and alfresco functions. The property also plans a dedicated Beach Club with panoramic views of the Mediterranean, designed to integrate with the local social scene and provide direct beachfront access. The Beach Club will open before the hotel’s full launch, targeting the summer 2018 season for its debut.
