Scheduled to open later this year, Viceroy Princes’ Islands Istanbul will mark Viceroy Hotel Group’s first property in Turkey. Situated on the tranquil island of Büyükada, the resort occupies restored Ottoman mansions and traditional yali waterfront homes, offering 77 guestrooms, suites and serviced residences set among landscaped gardens and a private cove.
The property combines historic architecture with contemporary comforts. Local craftsmen carefully restored the resort’s Grand Mansion to preserve its original character. A baroque entryway welcomes guests and leads to six exclusive suites, a private pool, multiple event and social areas, and an expansive terrace with sea views and the distant lights of Istanbul.
Resort amenities are designed for relaxation and memorable gatherings. Guests will have access to an ESPA spa and wellness center, indoor and outdoor event spaces, rooftop terraces and gardens, indoor and outdoor pools, a private lagoon, two restaurants and two bars. Whether visiting for leisure or events, travelers will find a balance of serene seclusion and sophisticated service.
Access to the resort emphasizes the island’s peaceful, vehicle-free environment: the property is reachable only by private pier, and no motor vehicles are permitted on Büyükada. Guests are encouraged to explore the island on foot, by bicycle or via horse-drawn carriage, experiencing a slower, more intimate pace of life not found on the mainland. For those wishing to visit Istanbul for shopping, dining or sightseeing, regular short boat rides connect the island to the city’s ports.
“Viceroy Hotel Group is thrilled to enter Turkey with this remarkable project. The rich history of Büyükada gives Viceroy Princes’ Islands Istanbul a true sense of place through its exciting blend of antiquity, modernity, tradition and an infusion of the Viceroy vibe,” said Bill Walshe, CEO of Viceroy Hotel Group.
