The Rural portion begins in Trondheim. From there travelers set out on The Golden Road loop in a Polestar electric car, following a scenic route that traces rugged coastline, dense forests and shimmering fjords. Along the way the itinerary highlights regional flavors and craftsmanship: visits to small producers, tastings of local spirits and beers, and chances to sample award-winning cheeses alongside freshly pressed juices.

The Coastal segment takes participants by boat to the village of Veiholmen on Smøla, an island off Edøy. Uniquely, Veiholmen has no fences, which leads into the local custom of småtta—strolling through private gardens with residents’ permission to appreciate their plants and outdoor spaces. Evenings are intimate and authentic; one dinner is hosted in the town’s oldest boathouse where regional specialties such as pickled herring and saltfish dumplings are served. Activities on Smøla may include a wildlife-spotting kayak trip and the chance to row a traditional boat inspired by Viking designs.

The Urban finale returns to Trondheim for a mix of refined dining and cultural discovery. Guests enjoy a meal at Michelin-recognized Speilsalen and take a private sailing along the Nidelva River to admire Trondheim’s historic wooden buildings—many of which have been thoughtfully repurposed into bars, shops and restaurants—while learning about the city’s architectural evolution from knowledgeable local guides.
