United Adds 31 New Summer Routes: Where You Can Fly This Season

Just in time for the 2019 summer travel season, United Airlines announced a new set of routes connecting U.S. cities with popular domestic and international destinations. Several of these services will be unique—either the only nonstop options available or the only routes offered by a U.S. carrier.

Beginning March 30, United became the only U.S. airline providing nonstop service between San Francisco and Amsterdam (AMS), with flights operating throughout the season. In May, United also launched a nonstop international route from Denver (DEN) to Frankfurt, Germany (FRA), the only nonstop connection on that city pair operated by an American carrier.

In May United expanded service to the Middle East and Italy as well, becoming the only airline to offer nonstop flights from Washington Dulles (IAD) to Tel Aviv (TLV), and adding nonstop service between New York’s JFK and Naples, Italy (NAP).

This summer’s European network also includes seasonal service to Athens, Greece (ATH); Glasgow, Scotland (GLA); Madrid (MAD) and Barcelona (BCN) in Spain; Rome (FCO) and Venice (VCE) in Italy; and Shannon, Ireland (SNN).

In the Caribbean, United’s summer schedule features flights to Bermuda (BDA) from Newark (EWR), as well as service from Houston (IAH) to St. Thomas (STT) and Turks and Caicos (PLS). Additionally, travelers in New Orleans (MSY), San Antonio (SAT) and Austin (AUS) can take advantage of special seasonal service to Cancún, Mexico (CUN).

These additions strengthen United’s summer offerings by expanding nonstop options and improving seasonal connectivity between key U.S. markets and sought-after destinations in Europe, the Caribbean and Mexico.
