Turkish Airlines and Oman Air have signed a codeshare agreement to expand travel options between Istanbul and Muscat. The agreement applies to services linking Istanbul’s Atatürk International Airport (IST) and Muscat International Airport (MCT), allowing customers to benefit from more convenient schedules and greater connectivity between the two cities.
Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, operates a modern fleet serving more than 43 destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe. The airline offers a range of cabin products, with business and first class featuring direct aisle access and fully lie-flat seats that cater to long-haul comfort. This codeshare builds on Oman Air’s recent network developments; earlier this year the carrier also entered a codeshare arrangement with Ethiopian Airlines on services between Muscat and Addis Ababa (ADD), further strengthening its regional and international partnerships.
For Turkish Airlines, the partnership enhances its network reach in the Gulf and provides customers traveling from Istanbul better access to Oman Air’s route network beyond Muscat. Passengers can expect coordinated schedules and the possibility to book connecting itineraries on a single ticket, simplifying travel planning and baggage transfer for journeys between Europe, Turkey and destinations served via Muscat.
The codeshare also supports both carriers’ goals of improving passenger choice and operational cooperation. By combining route networks and aligning schedules, the airlines aim to offer smoother connections, increased frequency on key city pairs and more seamless travel experiences for business and leisure travelers alike.
Travelers can look for joint flight options when booking with either airline and should check fare conditions, baggage rules and any applicable loyalty benefits for codeshare itineraries. As always, passengers are advised to verify departure airport terminals and visa requirements when planning international travel between Turkey and Oman.
