New and upgraded offerings at many of New York’s top ski areas enhance the winter season. Skiers and winter travelers can attend the inaugural Adirondack Winter Pride Weekend in March 2025, featuring ski-related events and activities. The New York State Pride Ski Weekend returns to the Catskills Feb. 7–9. For those who prefer ice skating, The Ice at Canalside in Buffalo is open for the season and remains a popular waterfront destination.

When it’s time to warm up, the state’s food and drink scene offers new options. Bella’s Brewery recently opened at Océane Vineyards, producing craft beer with locally sourced ingredients. Gray Willow, a combined bar, restaurant and brewery, has opened in the Catskills, and Big Eddy Brewing Co. serves beer, cider, wine, seltzers and cocktails alongside barbecue from partner restaurant Smōkd.
